The calender’s were made in last months class but this month we made a Napkin Fold card (Thanks to Tuppence Coloured for the inspiration) also using the Numbers Framelits we had great fun making them, I love that I make a card for the class to go by, and then with the ladies own input we end up with all different looking cards, although the main Napkin fold card is the basic card how different people decorate it they all become individual, see photos below.

Hi There I’m Back!!! :-)

Hi There

I’m Back :-) so sorry I’ve not been updating my blog, but I’ve been poorly, that nasty flu bug knocked me right off my feet, but I’m much better now and back to work.

Today and tomorrow I will be working on my website adding classes and craft fairs to my calender, so you all know what I will be doing in the next few months.

Although Stampin Up Sale A Bration has now finished, we still have a great signing up deal, so if you wanted to join my team which is called  JJC’s Crafters then you would only pay £99.00 but get to choose £130.00 worth of any products from any of the catalogues, weekly deals, or the clearance rack, so you see a great deal. just follow this link to join in the fun.

http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/jillyrickardscards/

Some future classes I’m going to be doing, along with the popular Monthly Box/Gift Bag class will be different ‘Fold Cards’ and some technique classes, so keep a look out on my website and its very easy to book your space and pay through paypal.

I also offer 1-2-1 classes, so if you have a special card to make for someone special then why not book a 1-2-1 class with me, its £10 for a 2 hour Class.

Before I succumbed to the Flu, I did have a great 1-2-1 class with Lovely Hayley, (see Picture below) she wanted a special butterfly card for her Sister, so as you see from the photo she really did a great job. :-)

Another Fab afternoon crafting :-)

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying the lighter nights, spring is trying its hardest to arrive :-)

I’ve been very busy crafting, I held my monthly box making class yesterday afternoon, and had great fun with the ladies, we had a lovely new Lady join us too. We first made a ‘Wine Bottle Holder’, although from the laughter and conversation going on I really am worried that the recipients of the wine bottle holders that the Ladies made, may be a little disappointed, as the conciseness was (if you use a screw top wine bottle, the contents could be drunk BEFORE handing it over) hahaaa sorry Ladies you will not get away with that one now!! hahaaa

The next box we made was the butterfly box, this was a bit more tricky as the ladies had to do some stamping, and even some three way stamping, which they were all amazing at (well done Ladies)

Here are the photos of the Ladies and their Boxes

This is Sam and Nicky with the boxes they made :-)

Whilst at my craft fair at St Oswolds I sold a number of male Birthday cards, so had to get making a lot more, and like a lot of  crafters I find it more challenging coming up with ideas for them, so I hopped over to my trusted Pinterest for some inspiration, see below a couple of cards I came up with, hope it helps you :-)

Another great week crafting ;-)

Hi everyone

Hope you’ve all had a lovely week, :-)

As I said in my last blog it was my Lovely Hubbys birthday last weekend so we popped up to London for a few days, spent some time with our Son looking, around Covent Garden (Loved it) saw ‘Les Miserables’ and had Lunch with my Brother-in-law and his partner, I love family time, almost as much as my other love ‘crafting’.

Anyway less of the rambling and onto Crafting 😉 it’s been another busy week in the life of Jilly’s creative corner, I started the week with a 1-2-1 with my very talented friend Hayley, she wanted to make a Mothers day card and she also wanted to learn how to heat emboss, so I took the big butterfly stamp ‘Swallowtail’ and showed her how to heat emboss it onto Shimmery white C/S then we had some fun while she used the marker pens, to colour some of  it in, so I then got her to colour half the butterfly in marker pens and the other half with aqua painters to see which she liked the best, as you will see in the picture below she choose the aqua painting way and the outcome is amazing, Hayley did this by herself with me just directing her occasionally, and I think you will agree she made a fabulous job :-) Well done Hayley :-)

The next day I went with my Mom-in-law to St Oswalds Retirement village, we had three tables there with my cards and gift boxes for sale and had a good day there.

Spent the rest of the week preparing for my first Gift box/bag making class of this year that I held yesterday, I had two new Ladies at this class and oh my did we have some fun, (I love my job!!!) we made three boxes/gift bags each see the photo’s below to see the Ladies and their makes, I’m sure you will see what a fabulous job Sam and Nicky made.

Both Sam and Nicky choose to use different colours for their boxes so it just goes to show how amazing they look.

If anyone would like to come to classes and join in the fun, then just pop on over to the classes part of my website and book in, or give me a call/email and book in that way.

Have a great week everyone :-)

Hi There Everyone

Hi There Everyone

It’s been a busy week for me, not only was it the start of my new technique classes on Saturday, but it was also my birthday :-) what better way to spend your Birthday than crafting, Saturday I was teaching 3 lovely ladies how to Heat emboss, some of the Ladies choose different colours to do their Butterflies and the outcome was amazing see for yourselves with the pictures below.

These are the some of samples I showed the Ladies

As you can see what an amazing difference just changing up the colours you use can have a stunning effect.

I also had a 1-2-1 class last week where Hayley needed to make a card for her friends’ birthday, so I taught her to make this lovely card, and I’m sure you will agree Hayley made a fabulous job of it. :-)

If you pop over to my classes you will see the Boxes/Bags we will be making in class on Saturday 30th January, I have another couple of spaces available on this class, so if you fancy a lovely afternoon crafting with other like minded people, then pop over and book your space.

I will be adding the cards we will be making in the morning class in the next couple of days. :-)
