Beautiful Gatefold Card for Mothers day :-)

In this weeks video we will be making a beautiful “Gatefold card” the one I will be showing you is for Mother’s day.

But the stamp sets and dies (all from Stampin’ Up!) I will be using to make this card are very versatile so a whole range of cards can be made.

I’m using the ‘Basket of Blooms’ stamp set it’s a beautiful set that enables you to make up a basket, flower pot or a vase of flowers and leaves.

For the closure of the gatefold I’ve used the ‘Tasteful label dies’ these are a very versatile set as they have 10 dies in the set all different shapes and sizes.

Another extremely useful set I’ve used is the ‘Well Said’ stamp set coordinating with the ‘Well written’ dies in my opinion I think this is the most cost effective set we hold in the Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue this year.

If I could only have one stamp set with compatible dies this would be the one I would choose.

Because it enables you to make a card for whoever you like and for whatever occasion you want, as all the words in one of the sets are single words.

For example it’s not always the case these days when you attend a wedding that it is necessarily a Bride & Groom, so this set has allowed for this by giving us separate words, we can now make a card for a Bride & Bride or a Groom & Groom which I think is incredibly thoughtful Stampin’ Up!

Because the Mother’s day card in the video was made specifically for my Mom-in-law I did use a sentiment from the ‘Family Party’ stamp set for the inside of the card.
